Richard G. (Dick) Becker, 90, of Decatur passed away on March 3, 2009. He was born to Roy H. and Anita Becker in Watervliet, NY. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Alice Joiner Becker; children, Betty and Phil Leftwich, Bill and Marcia Becker, Rick and Debbie Becker, Bob and Lynne Becker; eleven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII, the Air Force during the Korean War and was a member of the 128th Observation Squadron. After 32 years with Lockheed he retired in 1984. He was a member of the Lions Club and volunteered in the Boy Scouts and Camp Fire Girls. He served as a deacon of Scott Boulevard Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 7th at 2 pm in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Dr. T. Michael Davis officiating. Interment will be at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
