Robert Allen Wright

Robert Allen Wright passed away August 14, 2010, at his residence in Atlanta, GA. Bob was born November 7, 1951, in Wilmington, NC. He grew up in Atlanta and graduated from North Springs High School. After high school, Bob graduated from Davidson College where he was involved in theatre, which was his passion and his career. His brother Russ recalled that Bob's interest in the stage began at an early age with the plays he'd stage in the basement of their parents' home. After college Bob worked with many productions for the Alliance Theatre and many other venues both locally and internationally. Most recently, he was stage manager for a number of productions for Marietta's Theatre in the Square, where he shared many good times working with management, staff and performers. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Charles Vernon Wright and Catherine Weaver Wright. Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Dr. C. Russell Wright and Whit Perrin Wright of Jasper, GA. Bob also leaves many dear friends and colleagues for whom he cared deeply. Bob's life will be remembered in a celebration Monday, September 27, 2010, at 7 PM at Theatre in the Square in Marietta, GA. In lieu of flowers, Bob requested that any wishing to do so may make a donation to Theatre in the Square or to a favorite organization or charity of their choice. A. S. Turner & Sons
