Robert Arthur O'Malley

Mr. Robert Arthur O'Malley, age 47 of Atlanta, died Sunday, June 12, 2011. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts degree in photo journalism and mass communication. After graduation he worked as a photo journalist and news anchor for WLFL and WRDC TV in Raleigh, NC. Most recently, he was a sales associate for Nordstrom at Phipp's Plaza. Robert was preceded in death by his father, Arthur O'Malley and is survived by his mother, Mary Kay O'Malley; sister, Cathy Hasbrouck and her husband, Peter of Atlanta; brother, Steve O'Malley and his wife, Jorie of St. Louis, MO; sister, Susan O'Malley of Tarboro, NC; niece, Clare Hasbrouck; nephews, Henry Hasbrouck, Jack O'Malley and Pete O'Malley; aunt, Marion O. Woll of Downers Grove, IL; and cousin, Pamela Woll of Chicago, IL. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 2:00 PM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Msgr. Paul Fogarty officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 636 W. Ponce de Leon Ave, Decatur, GA 30030 or to the charity of your choice. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5-7 pm with a Prayer service at 7 pm at A. S. Turner & Sons, Decatur.
