Robert James Whaley

Mr. Robert J. (Bob) Whaley of Stone Mountain died Friday, March 22, 2013.Bob was born in Lithonia, GA to the late William Whaley and Elizabeth Still Whaley. He was a Deacon at Valley Brook Baptist Church. He was an avid golfer. Bob attended Georgia Tech and graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Furman University and served three years in the US Navy during WWII. Before Bob retired, he worked as a salesman for Ideal Basic Industries. He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Whaley. He is survived by his wife, Millie Whaley. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions to the American Cancer Society, 1591 Clifton Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30329
