Robert John Carlson, 87, of Avondale Estates, GA passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2008. He was a native of Jamestown, NY. He earned his Engineering Degree at TriStateUniversity and served as an Army Air Corps pilot during World War II. He began his career at Lockheed and more recently retired from Lockwood Green in Atlanta. He was a member of Decatur Presbyterian Church. Mr. Carlson is survived by his wife, Sarah Harmon Carlson; and his daughter, Lynne Carlson Dougherty; and her children: Ariana, Sean, and Faith. He is also survived by two step-sons and their families: Wistar and Susan Harmon and their daughters, Ellie and Becky; Dendy and Judy Harmon. Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 23rd at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Decatur Presbyterian Church, Dr. Todd Speed officiating, with a reception to follow in the church parlor.
