Robert Lee Towles

Robert Lee Towles, Jr. of Stone Mountain died on Saturday, February 14, 2015 of natural causes. He was the son of Robert Lee Towles, Sr. and Margaret Buchanan Towles. Mr. Towles was born in Atlanta on August 21, 1925. He served in the Navy as an Aviation Electrician's Mate 3rd Class. He is a graduate of the University of Miami. Mr. Towles worked for Southern Bell Telephone for 35 years before retiring in 1984. He was a member of Druid Hills Country Club for over 30 years where he served on the Board of Directors, also as Treasurer, Vice President and President. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Charlene 'Chuckie' Towles, his children, Bob, Kathy and Stephen, daughter in law, Laura and 6 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, Feb 20th at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Decatur Ga.
