Robert Morgan Looney, 88, of Atlanta passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2012. He was born June 29, 1924 to Margarite and Morgan Harbin Looney in Decatur, Georgia. He was a truck driver for Ryder Truck Lines and was a member of North DeKalb Masonic Lodge No. 714 F. & A.M. and The Tucker Shrine Club. Robert had performed as Bobo the clown. Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Looney. He is survived by his sisters: Katherine Watkins of Lawrenceville, and Miriam Byrd of Hover, Alabama. Also surviving is his sister-in-law, Frances Mitchell Walls of Norcross, and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Mr. Looney will be held Sunday, October 7, 2012 at l:00 pm in the chapel of A.S. Turner and Sons with Rev. Fred Plate officiating. Interment will follow at Gresham-Weed Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Peachtree Christian Hospice 3430 Duluth Park Lane Duluth, GA 30096. The family will receive friends on Saturday October 6, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
