Robert Morgan

May 26, 1959 — September 10, 2021

Robert Edward Morgan passed away on Friday September 10, 2021, after a brief but difficult struggle with COVID 19.

Bob was born on May 26, 1959, in Detroit, Michigan to Audrey Bailey Morgan and Jack E. Morgan, Sr. His family moved to Atlanta, Georgia when he was one year old. He graduated from Lakeside High School and received an Associates Degree in Mechanics from DeKalb Community College.

Bob’s working career included Master Mechanic, Licensed Electrician, and Home Inspector. As a master mechanic, he shared a passion with his father for all things automotive and NASCAR. They rooted for and closely followed the exploits of their favorited driver, Dale Earnhardt.

First and foremost to Bob was his family. He was a wonderful husband and father. He loved the outdoors and the wildlife in the Georgia mountains where they lived. Photographing the black bears on their property was one of his favorite pass times. He was an avid coin collector, scuba diver, enjoyed history, and was a movie buff of classic films.

Mr. Morgan is survived by his wife, Edna Morgan and son, Thomas R. Morgan of Ellijay, Georgia, by his mother, Audrey B. Morgan, and his brother, Jack E. Morgan, Jr, (Janna Morgan) of Stone Mountain, Ga. In addition to numerous other Morgan and Bailey family relatives.

In keeping with the family wishes, memorial contributions may be made to Georgia Wildlife Federation or Goizueta Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center at Emory University.
