Rose Helen Gasperini, who celebrated her 95th birthday on Christmas Eve, passed away peacefully January 25, 2009. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, O. Edward Gasperini. She is survived by her son Eddie Gasperini, daughter-in-law Cathleen, grand-daughters and spouses Lisa and Schon Parris, Elizabeth and Torey Kimberl, Amy and Rob Sampona, and Rebecca Gasperini, great-grandchildren Alex, Keegan, Sophia, Cecelia, Neely, Logan, and Nicholas, and siblings Marge Hudek, Mary Matul, Stanley Kurzeja, John Kurzeja, and Valentine Kurzeja. Rose was a selfless caregiver whose gracious nature touched all who met her. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 27th at 6:00 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at A.S. Turner and Sons in Decatur. The Service celebrating the life of Rose Gasperini will be held at The Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in downtown Atlanta at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28th.
