Roy E. Glascoe
September 9, 1920 — November 6, 2011
Mr. Roy E. Glascoe, age 91 of Avondale Estates, died Tuesday, November 6, 2011. He was a WWII B17 pilot and was a POW in Romania. He retired from C & S Bank and was a member of the Rotary Club in Avondale. Mr. Glascoe was preceded in death by his daughter, Elaine Williams and his son, Eddie Glascoe. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ruth Anne Glascoe; his daughter-in-law, Sandy Glascoe; grandsons, Jason Harris, Chris Glascoe and Tyson Glascoe; granddaughter, Danielle Heinzen; and sister, Pete. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 9, 2011. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12 – 2 PM at A. S. Turner & Sons.
