Sally Johnson Dupuy

Sally Johnson Dupuy, 91 of Decatur, GA passed away Monday, March 4, 2019. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John K. Dupuy, her parents Jason Henry Johnson and Sara Margaret Richardson Johnson, her brother, Jason Ruffin Johnson, sister-in-law Dot Johnson, brother Thomas Henry Johnson, Sr. and nephew Thomas Henry Johnson, Jr. Sally is survived by her sister Nancy Briggs Johnson, daughters Carolyn Datry (Eric) and Camille Cohen (Gary), son John Dupuy (Ghislaine), and grandchildren Mackenzie, Marshall and Juliana as well as a large extended family. Sally was born on December 22, 1927 in Monroe, Louisiana and attended Louisiana State University, University of Louisiana at Monroe and Louisiana Tech graduating with a BA degree in Fine Arts. She was a member of Kappa Delta sorority, DAR and a LSU Tiger fan. Sally worked as a paraprofessional at Montgomery Elementary School in DeKalb County School System. She was an avid reader, artist, gardener, Silver Sneaker, Chicken Foot domino player and knitter and enjoyed discovering her past with genealogy. Sally will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, intelligence, optimistic outlook and fun-loving personality. Family and friends will miss her dearly. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. Visitation will be Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons 2773 North Decatur Rd, Decatur, GA.
