Sara Murphy Robison

February 7, 1919 — January 17, 2005

Miss Sara M. Robison, age 85, of Decatur died January 17, 2005. She was employed by the American Red Cross and served in Disaster Services. She received awards of service from Austria for her service when Russia invaded Hungary. In 1968 she received the Civilian Service in Vietnam medal and she served in the Carolinas for Hurricane relief for the disasters of Frederic and David. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Doralyn Robinson of Decatur; nieces, Cathy Edwards, Diane West and her husband Steve; Great niece, Pamela Young; several great great nieces and nephews; and many cousins. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 19th at 1 p.m. at Columbia Presbyterian Church, Rev. Tom Hagood officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Red Cross Disaster Services, 1955 Monroe Dr., Atlanta, GA, 30324. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at A. S. Turner & Sons
