Scott Vincent Lapointe

Scott Vincent LaPointe, 52, of Lilburn, formerly of Massena, NY, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012, after courageously battling cancer. He was born on June 27, 1960, in Massena, New York, where he graduated from Central High School in 1978. He received his Associate's Degree in 1980 from State University of New York. Scott enjoyed volunteering for Operation Christmas Child. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in his honor. He is survived by his wife, Jodean Codina LaPointe; children, Kimberly (Ricky) Wisnewsky, Matthew, Tyler, Brandon and Courtney LaPointe and their mother, Carrie LaPointe; father, Guy (Eilagene) LaPointe; brothers, Greg (Nancy) LaPointe and Andrew (Mary) LaPointe; He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis LaPointe. The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1150 Cole Rd, Lilburn GA 30047. Bishop Peter Baron will officiate. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service and from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at A. S. Turner and Sons, Decatur.
