Shirley Lococo

Shirley Lococo age 88 of Decatur passed away October 30, 2022.  She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.  A native of Pennsylvania, she moved to the Atlanta area in 1964. She worked at Bellsouth and Delta Airlines.  Shirley loved animals and had many pets over the years.  She loved taking care of children and did so for many years.  With a great sense of humor and very willful determination, Shirley was an avid reader and loved puzzles.  She never met a stranger and was gracious to all that crossed her path.

She is survived by a daughter and son in law, Valerie (Jay) Blackmon; granddaughters, Avery and Aubrey Blackmon; sister Dorothy Plavko; brother, Richard Murdoch and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 20, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
