Mrs. Shirley Mae Bristow of Decatur died Wednesday, February 10, 2010. She was the former Miss Sioux Empire, and Miss South Dakota State University. Among her many loves, the greatest of these were her grandchildren. Mrs. Bristow is survived by her loving husband, Robert J. “Bob” Bristow; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Tera Bristow of Kennesaw, Bobby and Ellen Bristow of Atlanta; grandchildren, Ella Bristow of Kennesaw; Jack and Sawyer Bristow of Atlanta; brother, Steve Wohlhueter; sisters, Patty Smith and Joan Outka.
A memorial service will be held Monday, February 15th at 11:00 A.M. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Father Bryan Small officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the Catholic Relief Services at www.crs.org. The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Saturday at A. S. Turner & Sons in Decatur.
