Siras Andrew Stocks

Mr. Siras Andrew "Si" Stocks of Snellville died Sunday, March 13, 2005. He was a member and former Deacon Emeritus of the First Baptist Church of Avondale Estates. He retired from MARTA in 1981 after 38 years of service. Mr. Stocks is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret K. "Meg" Stocks; sons, Dr. S. Allan Stocks and his wife Gloria of Augusta, Phillip M. Stocks and his wife, Wilma of Douglasville; 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 16th, at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Avondale Estates with Rev. Clay Bowden and Dr. J. Truett Gannon officiating. Burial will follow in Chestnut Grove Church Cemetery in Grayson, GA. Those desiring may make contributions to First Baptist Church of Avondale Estates Otsar Memorial Fund. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
