Smith Nial Gower

Smith Nial Gower, age 93, of Loganville, died Friday, April 15, 2011, at his residence. He was born in Grayson on June 19, 1918. He was retired from Sears in Atlanta after 42 years of service Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Hazel L Gower; children and spouses, Mike and Sha, Richard and Denise, David and Kathy; grandchildren and spouses, Scott and Nicole, Matt and Laura, Amy Gower, Steven and Kevin Gower, Victoria Gower, Sarah and Nicholas Cooner; great grandchildren, Andrew, Jacob, Katelyn, Courtney, Ryan, Evan and Reagan Gower. He was preceded in death by his sister, Imogene Gower and his parents, Samuel and Erminie Gower. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 18, at 2 pm in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home in Decatur with The Rev David Gravitt officiating. Interment, Decatur Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity. The family will receive friends 2-4 Sunday afternoon at A. S. Turner & Sons.
