Stanley Bruce Tate, Sr. after a long battle with cancer died peacefully on Saturday, March 24, 2012. Mr. Tate is a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish and served in the Armed Forces. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Kathleen Patron Tate, his daughter Stephanie Blair Garmon, and his son Stanley Tate, Jr. and their spouses. He has four grandchildren Samantha Garmon, Chase Garmon, Hannah Tate and Joshua Tate. He has two living brothers, Charles Tate and Danny Tate, both from North Carolina. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce and Grace Tate and a brother Bobby Tate. A Mass of Resurrection will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 2855 Briarcliff Rd., Atlanta, 30329 on Tuesday, March 27 at 7:00 pm followed by a celebration dinner in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation, 5 Dunwoody Park, Suite 118, Atlanta, GA 30338.
