Mrs. Stella Z. Sawicki of Decatur died Sunday, January 25, 2015. She was a homemaker and longtime member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Mrs. Sawicki was active in her community with volunteer work for her church and several charities. She is preceded in death by her husband, Chester W. Sawicki. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Shanteau, of Decatur; grandsons, Ryan (Hayley) Shanteau of Roswell and Eric (Jeri) Shanteau of Marina del Rey; and great granddaughters, Lanier Shanteau of Roswell and Vaughn Shanteau of Marina del Rey. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 30, 2015 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church officiated by Fr. Bill Hao . The family will receive friends one hour prior to Mass at the church. Interment will be at Floral Hill Memory Gardens immediately following the ceremony. A.S.
