Sue Thrasher Morrison of East Cobb died Saturday, December 26, 2009. She was the daughter of James Cloud Thrasher and Eugenia Haslett Thrasher. A 40 year resident of East Lake, Sue worked for many years at the Defense Contract Audit Agency. She was President of the Business and Professional Women’s Association and was active in the League of Women Voters. Sue was also an avid bridge player. Surviving are her daughter, Carol Burgess; son, Jesse Lee Morrison and his wife Nancy; grandchildren, Michelle Burgess Mawn, Wendy Burgess Lundgren, David Lee Morrison and Diane Morrison Leonard; great grandchildren, Brady, Kiley, Connor, Ansley Mawn, Walker and Grayson Soucy, and Emily Grace Lundgren. Memorial services were held at 12:00 Noon, Monday, December 28 in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Dr. Frank H. Crumpler officiating. Interment was in Elberton, GA. The family received friends from 10 until 12 Noon Monday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
