Sybil Mckibben

Sybil Richards McKibben, age 91, of Atlanta passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012. She was a local artist who did pastel drawings of children and adults for people in the neighborhood. Her son Jeff recently spoke with a family that still had several of her drawings of their children from 1957. She also did clay heads of her sons and husband that she would work on for months at a time. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe McKibben, also a local artist who graduated in 1942 from a painting program at the High Museum of Art, and her son, Michael McKibben. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey McKibben of Atlanta and sister-in-law, Dorothy McKibben Linderman. Services will be private.
