Tamra Lyn Leslie passed away on March 11, 2013, after a very long battle with brain cancer. Tamra was 49 years old, and died in her home in Atlanta, Georgia. At the time, Tamra was surrounded by many of her immediate family, and she passed as peacefully into the hands of God as she had lived her extraordinary life. Tamra was born December 12, 1963 in Decatur, Illinois. She lived in several areas of the United States, and eventually settled, with the rest of her family, in Atlanta. Tamra graduated from Emory University with her husband, Brian Leslie, and received a Masters in Early Childhood Education from Georgia State University. Tamra was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt and special friend to many. She was a warm and loving teacher to many students and an ever giving Girl Scout leader and philanthropist in many ways. She is survived by her parents, Tom and Linda (Stark) Gunnigle, her brothers and sisters, Dawn, Ryan and Grant, her husband, Brian, her children Morgan, Stephen and Jordan, and many nieces and nephews. Tamra touched the hearts and lives of so many people in her life, and was an angel in the flesh. We know she is resting peacefully with God, and will eternally watch over us from above as she gracefully did in life.
