Thelma Fleming Skelton

Thelma Fleming Skelton, age 91, a long time resident of Decatur, died Friday, April 27, 2007.  She was married to the late H. Gray Skelton, Sr., and is survived by her daughters, Ina Parks Howell (David Ritter) of Miami Spring, FL, and Madora Skelton Wright of Baltimore, MD; and son, H. Gray Skelton, Jr. (Laurie) of Marietta, GA. Her grandchildren are Elaine and Kim Howell, Steve, John (Brooke) and Mary Skelton Martin (Gregg) and David Gray Wright. Her great grandchildren are Alex and Eric Skelton, Ethan and Mia Martin, Jaden Howell, and Steven Davis, Jr. Other family surviving her includes her sister, Rebecca Fleming Rucker of Conyers, GA; sister-in-law, Mary Skelton Carpenter of Hartwell, GA; and many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P. M. Sunday, April 29th in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons.  Dr. Harold D. Zwald and Dr. Horace W. Fleming, Jr. will officiate.  Interment will follow at Decatur Cemetery.  Those desiring may send contributions to the Building Fund at The First Baptist Church of Decatur, 308 Clairmont Ave., Decatur, GA  30030.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Sunday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
