Mr. Theodore Stathakis of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2009. Born in Karyae Lakonia, Greece on October 24, 1932, Mr. Stathakis is survived by 3 children – Kiki Papadimitriou (and husband John), Vivian Pappas (and husband Chris) & Sam Stathakis (and wife Georgea), 2 sisters - Dina Theodorakakis and Pipitsa Apostolakis, 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandson and a very large family with members all over Greece and the United States. He was a proud, generous and loving man whose memory will be eternal. He now is at peace, back by the side of his late wife Katherine Stathakis. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 20, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm with the Prayer service held at 7:00 pm at A.S. Turner & Sons. Father Christos Mars will officiate. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 11:00 am at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation on Clairmont Road. Father George Alexson will officiate. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greek Orthodox Philoptochos Social Services, 2500 Clairmont Road, Atlanta, GA 30329. A. S.
