Thomas E. Robbins

Mr. Thomas E. Robbins of Atlanta died Wednesday, October 19, 2005. He was a 1965 graduate of Briarcliff High School and a 1971 graduate of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Mr. Robbins was employed by Cooper Carry & Associates. As a Senior Associate, he received an AIA award for his project at the Green Hills Mall in Nashville, TN. He was also responsible for the redesigning and renovation of Underground Atlanta. Mr. Robbins was a member of Shallowford Presbyterian Church. He was an avid outdoorsman, a member of Trout Unlimited and the Sierra Club. Mr. Robbins was preceded in death by his son, Matt Robbins and his father, Edward Robbins. He is survived by his wife and childhood sweetheart of 36 years, Linda Tarrance Robbins; son, Wesley Robbins; mother, Peggy Eberly Robbins, all of Atlanta; sisters, Joan Speir and her husband Mark of Buford, GA, Carol McElroy of Pensacola, FL; and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 22nd at Shallowford Presbyterian Church. Rev. C. Gray Norsworthy will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 409410, Atlanta, GA 30384-9410. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
