Vernon Ritchey

Mr. Vernon Ritchey of Decatur died Tuesday, March 1, 2005. He retired from the Federal government as and inspector with the US Department of Agriculture. He was a member of Clairmont Hills Baptist Church. Mr. Ritchey is survived by nieces, Sally Morrow and husband John of Destin, FL, Kay Gazaway and husband Hoyt of Dalton, GA, Kathy Fernandez and husband Rene'of Tampa, FL; brother, Jim Ritchey and wife Essie of Dalton, GA; special lady friend, Miss Laura Henderson; and several  great nieces and nephews. Cryptside services will be held Wednesday, March 2nd , at 2 p.m., Rev. Fred Pitts officiating. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to your favorite charity.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
