Vickie W. Cannon

Vickie Wargo Cannon, age 82, of Orlando, FL was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 3rd, 2011. Vickie was born in Clifton, NJ on Nov. 7, 1928 to Joseph Wargo and Katherine Bizen Wargo. She had five sisters (Dottie, Betty Ruth, Kathryn, and Penny) and two brothers (Jack and Joseph). She relocated to Sarasota, FL with her family in 1944, where she attended Sarasota High school. In 1964, she married Fred Loyd Cannon, Jr. of Atlanta, Ga and they had two children, Julie and David Cannon.

Vickie was a lifelong Christian who loved her family and enjoyed being around people. She always enjoyed working and was very active up until recent years when health problems became a challenge for her.

She is survived by her daughter, Julie Cannon Jirgens of Orlando FL; her son David Nelson Cannon, of Birmingham AL; her sister Penny Miller of Sarasota, and two grandchildren, Jacqueline Cannon of Birmingham AL and Jana Jirgens of Orlando, FL.

A graveside service will be held at Crestlawn Cemetery, 2000 Marietta St, Atlanta Ga. on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 11am
