Virginia F. Dixon

Mrs. Virginia F. Dixon of Atlanta died February 6, 2007. Born September 14, 1912 in Buckhannon, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Gladys Farnsworth. In addition to her parents, her husband, George H. Dixon preceded her in death. Mrs. Dixon attended West Virginia Wesleyan College. She was a devoted wife and mother, an active and loyal member of Briarcliff Baptist Church, and a resident of Kings Bridge Retirement Community. Never wanting to draw attention to herself, Mrs. Dixon quietly lived a very generous and caring life. She is survived by her son, George Stephen Dixon, his wife Marie and her daughter, Sherry Hayes, of Gainesville, GA and many dear friends. A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 8, 1:00 pm at the Briarcliff Baptist Church, Atlanta with Rev. Liz Pearson and Rev. Bill Bigger officiating. Burial will be Friday at Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 pm on Thursday at the Church.
