Virginia Johnson Newsome

Virginia “MeMe” Farmer Newsome of Sugar Hill died Monday, December 22, 2008. She retired as a Supervisor from Trust Company Bank after 26 years of service. MeMe was a member of The Family Church, First Baptist Church of Sugar Hill and its Senior Ladies Sunday School class. She volunteered as a Greeter at Riverside Elementary School in Suwanee. MeMe was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas W. Farmer, Sr., and her second husband, Harl R. Newsome. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Saundra and Bill Trimble of Covington; granddaughters, Leah Benincasa and husband Rob, Monica Gaddy and husband Butch; grandsons, W. B. Trimble, Jr. and Thomas W. Farmer, III; step-daughters, Theresa Jones and her husband Joe, Sonya Mose and her husband, Larry, Marsha Houseman;  step-grandchildren, Julie and Joseph  Jones, Andy   and  Randy Holloway, Jessica Houseman; and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 27th in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons, Dr. Richard Mark Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the Haynes Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Loganville. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, December 26th at A. S. Turner & Sons.
