Walter Dewey Bartlett

Mr. Walter Dewey Bartlett, Sr., of Atlanta died Friday, April 27, 2007. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, a Mason, and long-time employee of the Atlanta Board of Education. Mr. Bartlett was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherilyn Moore, and is survived by his wife, Gerry M. Bartlett; son, Walter Bartlett, Jr. and his wife Kim; daughter, Terri Askren and her husband Kevin; grandchildren, William Eskandari, Jordan Morris, Brett Moore, and Ashley White; and two great grandchildren; brothers, John H. Bartlett, Jr., Joseph Bartlett; sisters, Dorothy Donegal, Ernestine Cooper; numerous nieces and nephews; and his dog Mickey. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 1st in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
