Washburn Gilbert Storey

Washburn Gilbert “Gil” Storey age 80 of Decatur passed away December 11, 2020. Gil was born in Waycross, Ga and graduated from Waycross High School in 1958. He then attended the University of Georgia where he earned an accounting degree. Gil worked for the Internal Revenue Service for 39 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beth Owen Storey, parents William Herman and Jewell McMillan Storey and brother, William Thomas Storey. He is survived by his sons, David and Paul Storey, both of Decatur; daughter Susan Storey of Decatur; brothers, James Herman Storey of Waycross, Ga and Lawrence Doran Storey of Ponte Vedra, FL. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 1 PM at Woodbury Cemetery with Rev. Larry Burgess officiating. A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
