Mr. William S. “Billy” Rodgers, 80, of Decatur died Saturday, August 28, 2010. He faithfully loved and served his family. Mr. Rodgers was a member and Deacon of Rainbow Park Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary E. Rodgers of Decatur; son, Rebel Lance Rodgers and his wife Elizabeth Rodgers of Douglasville; daughter, Beth David-Erwin and her husband Scott Erwin of Madison; five grandchildren, Justin Rodgers, Melissa “Pinki” Martin, Billy Rodgers, Zachary Rodgers, Joseph Rodgers; one great grandchild, Ella Brooke Martin; and brother, Neal Rodgers of Talladega, AL. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Dr. Frank H. Crumpler officiating. Interment to follow at Bethlehem United Methodist Churchyard in McEldry, AL at 4:00 P.M. (CST). The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
