Willy Dean Bagwell

BAGWELL, Willy “Dean”, 85, recently of Decatur GA, died Friday, December 4, 2020. He was born in 1935 to the late Robert L. Bagwell and Ivoris M. Bagwell in Fayette County Alabama. A strong provider for his family, he worked as a tile setter for over 50 years and was a member of the Brick Layers Union. He was known for his gentle and kind nature. He loved feeding and taking care of many animals inside and outside of his home. He was from a large family and was “Uncle Dean” to many. He was of Presbyterian faith.

He is survived by Lois Godfrey Bagwell (his wife of 57 years), two children Dean’na Bagwell of Dacula GA and Chris Bagwell of Cumming GA.

Also surviving are his brother Jerry Bagwell (Rita Bagwell) and his sister Shirley Bagwell (Lionel Augustine) along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Private services were held in Decatur GA at Dawn Memorial Cemetery where his body resides in his crypt.
