Obituary

Mrs. Ada Mba Ukoha Kalu (née Ada Okafor Mang) was born on June 15,1963, in Abiriba, Abia State, Nigeria, to the late Elder Chief Okafor Mang and the late Princess Madam Ola Nwannadiya Okafor Mang. She grew up in Amogudu Abiriba and displayed resilience early in life, surviving the Nigerian/Biafra War before continuing her education at Amogudu Community School and Egwuena Girls Secondary School, graduating in 1980 as Assistant Senior Prefect.

She pursued higher education in the United Kingdom, earning a diploma in Accounting and Finance in London and later a Master's degree from the University of Stirling, Scotland. Returning to Nigeria, she completed her NYSC in Lagos and worked in banking before dedicating her life to Christ at The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM).

In 1992, she married her beloved husband, Prince Mba Ukoha Kalu, and their union was blessed with four children: Ugo Joy, Ukoha Victor, Agbai Eberechi, and Nena Praise. A devoted woman of faith, she served as a minister at Lively Stones Ministries International, where she was known as an evangelist, intercessor, and mentor who impacted many lives through prayer and service.

Later in life, she transitioned into critical care nursing in the United States, serving faithfully for 25 years with excellence, compassion, and dedication. Her life was marked by deep faith, service to others, and unwavering love for her family and community. She peacefully passed on February 10, 2026, after a courageous battle with uterine cancer surrounded by her family and loved ones. She is survived by her husband, her four children, her twin and elder brother, multiple nieces and nephews and friends who have stood by her throughout this journey.
