Agnes Polk Hancock

Agnes Polk "Pat" Hancock, 91, of Columbus, GA died Saturday, January 29, 2005 at Morningside Assisted Living.  She was born in Cochran, GA on June 18, 1913 and was a long time resident of Atlanta, GA.  She has lived in Columbus for the past six years.  Mrs. Hancock was preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles Harrison "Buddy" Hancock; daughter, Dorothy Hancock Peace and son-in-law, Bill Peace.  Survivors include her daughter, Betty Hancock Green; son-in-law, Sidney Green; and grandson, Charles Green of Milledgeville, GA; granddaughter, Sandra Dobson and husband, Ed Dobson of Columbus; four great grandchildren; and eight great great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 31, 2005 at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home, 2773 N. Decatur Road, Decatur, GA; with Reverend Tim Tudor officiating.  Interment to follow at Arlington Memorial Park, Sandy Springs, GA.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
