Alexis  Brown Whalen

Alexis Brown Whalen passed away at home on Jan.1, 2009 in the arms of her loving

husband.  She was 42. She is survived by her husband, Chris Whalen and their

beautiful children, Oscar, 4 years., and Sophie, 15 months., her parents, I D and Suzy Brown, her siblings and an abundance of family and friends.  Alexis was an interpreter and mental health counselor serving the deaf community since 1991.  She was co-director of G.R.E.A.T Day, a mental health agency in Decatur, GA since 2001. Alexis loved playing the piano and singing.  She enjoyed woodworking.  She knew how to celebrate life.  But above all, she loved being with her husband and 2 beautiful children.  Although we mourn her loss, we rejoice in the knowledge that she is now at peace and forever at home with Our Savior. A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, Jan. 4th, 2009, at 4:00 pm at All Souls Fellowship, 647 E. College Ave, Decatur, GA. 30030 (404) 270-9900.
