Amy Caroline Varnedoe

Amy Caroline Varnedoe of Decatur passed away on September 22, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gira Salvaggio Varnedoe andl Lewis Carroll Varnedoe, Jr; and her brother, Lewis Carroll Varnedoe, III. Miss Varnedoe was born in Atlanta on July 5, 1923. She attended Sacred Heart School for Girls in Atlanta, and at the time of her retirement had worked as an executive secretary for the Sinclair Oil Company for many years. Miss Varnedoe resided at Clairmont Oaks and was an active member of that senior community. At the time of her death, she attended St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Decatur. She is survived by her nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Jesse's House, P. O. Box 66 Cumming, GA 30028.
