Anne Banks

Anne Banks, 81, of Lilburn GA, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2011. Anne was born in Ellijay, GA to John Bradley Pettit and Ina Missouri Reece. She went on to retire from Gulf Oil Company. She’s predeceased by her husband, M.L. Banks and survived by her sons Alan (Glynn) Banks and Glen (Rose Marie) Banks, two granddaughters Meredith and Tabitha Banks; four sisters and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 7, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of A.S. Turner and Sons with Rev. Debbie Carlton officiating. Interment will follow at Decatur Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. and Monday one hour prior to the service at A.S. Turner and Sons. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gwinnett County Meals on Wheels, 225 Benson Street, Lawrenceville, GA 30045, or to Murphy Harpst Children’s Center, 740 Fletcher St., Cedartown, GA 30125.
