June 22, 1939 — May 9, 2013
Annette Barnes Brent, 73, of Stone Mountain, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2013. She was born to Barnett and Ruth Barnes in Atlanta. She retired from DeKalb County Department of Parks and Recreation as a bookkeeper. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Richard Brent; daughters and sons-in law, Donna and Frank Gray, Pam and Miles Knox; daughter, Barbara Brent; brother, William A. Barnes; sisters, Bonnie R. Brineman and Dorothy Coleman; four grandsons and one great grandson. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 13th at 11:00 am in the chapel of A.S. Turner and Sons with interment to follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Memorial donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in her name. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00-8:00 PM and again on Monday one hour prior to the service at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
