Annie L. Little, a devoted mother to 9 children, 33 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, peacefully passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023, to join her Savior, Jesus.
Annie's journey began in Banks County, Ga, where she grew up with her parents and younger siblings. A caring and nurturing spirit, she often stood over the stove to provide for her family while her parents worked in the cotton fields. Her love for ensuring no one went hungry became a hallmark of her life.
At 13, Annie began working at Scottdale Cotton Mills, shouldering responsibilities well beyond her years. Her resilience and determination were tested further when she lost her father at the age of 11, taking on the role of caregiver for her younger siblings. At age 14, she found love in Norman, and together they built a life with their 7 boys and 2 girls.
Annie is preceded in death by, spouse, Norman L. Little, preceded in death by her parents, L.J. Snipes and Lizzie Mae Ergle (Snipes), daughter: Joyce J. Bunch, sons: Jerry L. Little and Douglas R. Little.
Annie is Survived by:Son-Steven O. Little (Monroe, Ga), daughter-Brenda G. Covington (McDonough, Ga), son-Danny T. Little (Elaine Calugar)Lilburn, Ga. Daughter-in-law-Margie Little (Lilburn, Ga.), son-Edward (Nolan) Little (Lilburn, Ga.),son-Randy C. Little (Monroe, Ga.) son-Norman (Eugene) Little (Sandra Little) Covington, Ga.
Annie's strength and compassion led her to establish her own cleaning services in her late forties. Her kind-heartedness extended to caring for elderly clients, nourishing them both physically and emotionally. She exuded a genuine love for people, especially her family. Annie was a gentle protector, known for her unwavering dedication to her loved ones.
In her spare time, Annie delighted in gardening, tending to her flowers with meticulous care. Her home was a testament to her love for animals, as she cared for her cats and dogs with the same devotion, she showed her family.
Annie's legacy as the family matriarch is irreplaceable. Her memory lives on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Though we mourn her absence, we find solace in the knowledge that she rests in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.
