Arlene Ruth Fisher was born in College Park, Georgia on November 18, 1951. Daughter of Paul and Mary Fisher and sister to Joy Blahut and Peggy Lafoy, she had a full and wonderful childhood. She attended Clarkston High School in Clarkston, Georgia and Georgia Southern University where she spent time with some of her best friends Sheila, Maggie and Martha. She has two beautiful children, Jeremy Brent Norris (Kimberly) and Aaron Rebekah Jensen (Andrew) who she loved dearly. Her greatest joy other than her relationship with Jesus was her family. She had three grandchildren Camden, Emerson and Abigail who brought her so much happiness. She spent most of her adult life in ministry traveling to Israel and participating in different humanitarian efforts. She left a piece of her heart in Israel and loved serving with the people there. Her greatest gift was her giving spirit and love for others. She always was willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Later in life she obtained her Nursing Assistant Degree in hopes to be of service to children with autism. She loved all animals and could often be found nursing a stray cat or dog back to health. She loved the Lord with all her heart and aimed to put him first in all that she did. While she will be dearly missed, we know that she is celebrating in heaven. She lived in many beach towns and could often be found walking along the beach where she loved to pray or helping the homeless in downtown Jacksonville. She was a kind and gentle person who brought a smile to all who knew her.
A private graveside service will be held at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia on Monday.
