Barbara Ann Olver

Barbara Ann Pierce Olver, 72, of Lilburn, beloved wife and mother, passed away on September 11, 2015. Born November 1, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Myrtle Alice Pierce. Barbara started her career as a teletype operator for Sears then moved to real estate and finally spent the last 25 years as an assistant administrator for Coventry Place here in Decatur.

She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Thomas Hall Gaines; son, David Olver; daughter, Sandy Olver; grandson, Dalton Olver; two granddaughters, Teresa and Brittany Thompson; two brothers, Tommy Pierce and his wife, Dianne, and Charles Pierce; and many more siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, September 21, at the chapel of A.S. Turner and Sons, with Pastor Larry Burgess officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior.
