Barbara "Bobbie" Currence Fuller, born November 24, 1931, in Atlanta, Georgia, passed away peacefully in Tallahassee, Florida.

Bobbie was the daughter of Conn and Lulline Sellers Currence. She grew up in Atlanta with her younger brother, Wilburn, whom she adored. From an early age, she embraced responsibility and helped care for him while their parents worked, beginning a lifelong pattern of devotion to family.

While attending high school, Bobbie admired a handsome young man named Newt Fuller. After his service in the Navy, they married in 1955. Together they built a loving marriage that endured for 65 years. Bobbie and Newt shared a deep faith that served as the foundation of their life together. They were members of Shallowford Presbyterian Church.

A true Southern lady, Bobbie was known for her gracious spirit and warm hospitality. She welcomed others with an open heart and generous nature, making family, friends and neighbors feel at home. Bobbie and Newt were devoted animal lovers and shared their home with several beloved German Schnauzers over the years, each treasured as a member of the family.

Though she took great pride in being a devoted wife, daughter, and friend, Bobbie was also a hardworking woman. She often reminded her family that she began working at a very young age and helped support Newt while he earned his engineering degree at Georgia Tech. She continued working until the age of 65.

Above all, Bobbie cherished her family. She is survived by her niece, Connie Hames; great-niece Jordan; great-nephew Chase (Hannah) and their children Harper and Adam; Bobbie's cousins Judy, Kim (Lee), Teresa, Jennifer, and "little" Ray. She also leaves behind many other cousins and family members who visited her often, along with friends, and neighbors, whose lives were enriched by her kindness.

In recent years, Bobbie was blessed by caring neighbors who watched over her with love and concern. After moving to Tallahassee, she was surrounded by the support of her cousins, who lovingly helped care for her.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, William Newton Fuller; her parents, Conn and Lulline Currence; her brother, Wilburn Currence; and her nephew, Dale Currence.

A small graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shallowford Presbyterian Church - Prayer Shawl Ministry or Big Bend Hospice.

The family extends its gratitude to Bobbie's friends, neighbors, caregivers, and the hospice team for the compassion and support they provided throughout her life and especially during her final days. Among her wonderful caregivers, the family would like to especially acknowledge Ali, Juliet, and Dorothy, whose devoted care and kindness meant so much to Bobbie and her family.
