Beatrice T. Godfrey

Mrs. Beatrice T. Godfrey known to her friends as "Bappy" died Wednesday, August 17, 2005.  She was a member of the Decatur First United Methodist Church.  She served as president of the Avondale Woman's Club in 1959 and was past president of the Avon Garden Club.  She graduated from Avondale High School and was a graduate of the Georgia State University, where she served as president of the Delta Alpha Delta Sorority.  She was with Richs and Regenstein's, where she worked as a model.  She was predeceased in death by her husband, Henry M. Godfrey.  She is survived by her daughter and her husband, Gloria (Gee Gee) and Robert (Tuffy) Adams of St. Simons Island, GA; grandson, Robby Adams; sister, Mary Fickle of Stone Mountain, GA; brothers, Claude H. Turner of Cumming, GA, and William J. Turner of Conyers, GA; and several nieces and nephews.  Graveside services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in Decatur Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
