Benjamin (Ben) Thomas Wardlow passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at the age of 60 at Emory Decatur Hospital after a brief illness.
Born on April 17, 1963, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Ben was the eldest child of Tom and Mary Wardlow. He grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland, and later attended the Georgia Institute of Technology. He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, followed by a Master's Degree in Statistics and an MBA from Georgia State University.
A lifelong learner, Ben was an avid reader and a perpetual seeker of knowledge. He was gentle, kind, and funny, with a curmudgeonly sense of humor. He was blessed with a group of lifelong friends with whom he made many wonderful memories.
Ben was a loving husband and devoted father. He was predeceased by his mother, Mary Wardlow, and he is survived by his wife, Denise Wardlow; his children, Thomas Chezlow and Allyn Wardlow; Thomas's wife, Harmony Chezlow, and Allyn's partner, Naiki Kaffezakis; his father, Tom Wardlow; his sister, Carla Hembrey; and his beloved dog, Josie.
Ben was a caring person who always put others before himself. His unwavering support, his devotion to continuous self-improvement, and his kindly presence will be sorely missed.
