Bernard "Bonnie" Spellen of Decatur died Saturday, July 23, 2011. He is survived by his ex-wife, Donna London; daughters, Stephanie Bryant and Kendra Spellen; son, Adrian Spellen; sisters, Theresa Davies, Ann Marie Spellen, and Rona Spellen; brothers, Euburn Spellen, Compton Spellen, Roy Spellen, Aubrey Spellen, Eon Spellen and Godfrey Spellen and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, July 30, 2011 at the New Piney Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Dexter Rowland and Bishop Patricia Gibson officiating. The remains will lie in state from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the church. A. S. Turner & Sons
