Bernice Estelle Ellington Armistead

Mrs. Bernice Estelle Ellington Armistead, 85, a long-time resident of Decatur died Saturday, April 12, 2008.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Jones Armistead.  Surviving are her daughter, Darline Armistead of Decatur; sons, Joel Armistead of Greenville, SC, David Armistead of Renton, WA; sister, Ruby Norris of Thomaston, GA; brother, Marvin Ellington of Dunwoody, GA; grandsons, Shaun Armistead, Brian Armistead, Jason Armistead, Jordon Armistead; niece, Laura Glover; and nephew, Don Ellington.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Tuesday, April 15, 2008 in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Pastor Darrell Johns of  Atlanta West Pentecostal Church and Rev. Samuel Latta officiating.  Interment will be at Melwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
