Bertha B. Shelfer
January 6, 1910 — November 2, 2011
Bertha B. Shelfer was born on January 6, 1910 and died Wednesday, November 2, 2011. She was a lifelong resident of DeKalb County and a lifetime member of North Clarendon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Johnnie Farrow and second husband, Arthur Shelfer; her sisters, Maybelle Bannister and Daisy Burdett; brothers, Lester Bannister and George Bannister; niece, Sue Bannister; and a nephew, George Burdett. She is survived by her niece Nancy Burdett and nephew Larry Bannister and his wife, Ruth; two great nieces and one great nephew. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Dr. Perry Ginn and Rev. Timothy Owens officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
