William Lloyd Burbank, Jr. of Stone Mountain passed away February 8, 2016. He was born at Fort McPherson in Atlanta, GA on July 1, 1936. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Tech in 1960. He served three years in the U.S. Army and retired from the Veterans Administration as a certified Safety and Fire Protection Engineer. He was an Elder of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ruby Frazier Burbank; daughters, Tracey Burbank and Susan Salter; son-in-law, Greg Salter and sister, Col. Arlene Burbank, U.S.A. Retired.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be on Thursday, February 11, 2016, at 1:30 p.m. at Rehoboth Presbyterian Church with Rev. Rachel Whatley-Pate officiating. Interment will follow at Melwood Cemetery.
There will be a reception at the church following the interment.
