Billie Pickett Gray, 88, a native Atlantan, died Sunday, February 21, 2010. She was a proud graduate of Girls High. Mrs. Gray was a longtime member of The J.U.G.S. (Just Us Gals). She was an avid gardener, reader of novels, bird watcher, the family genealogist, and most importantly a wonderful wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her son, Wayne Gray and son-in-law, Billy Gallups. Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Harold Gray; son and daughter-in-law, Len and Janie Gray of Douglasville; daughters, Gayle Gray of Mansfield, Rhonda Gallups of Tucker; daughter-in-law, Nancy Gray of Tucker; brothers, Jack Pickett, Jr., Rick Pickett; sister, Loraine Wright; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 24th. Interment Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
